Will It Skillet?

A watched pot
A watched pot...

August arrives shortly. What mayhem will it bring? A seasoned skillet, some sampling of sauces, a few dashes of destiny, a bit of rising tempers, and some rolling ravings are all possible. A watched pot brings much the same.

July 31, 2011. My post tonight is inspired by NaBloPoMo prompt, “What was the last thing you bought?” My last purchase happened to be a cast iron skillet and what is bound to be the first piece in what will probably be a culinary cast of characters. The theme I plan to follow everyday for the month of August was set by NaBloPoMo as “fiction.” Today’s post is also the first on WordPress after migrating from Posterous. Alas, my fascination with web design has begun. Oh, and I created tonight’s image in Illustrator, on my lap top, and while cooking balsamic chicken. ©2011 Steph Abbott. All rights reserved.

Lamb Light

Wednesday, July 27, 2011. Lamb Light. A basic landscape with a variety of brushes and pigments in an effort to get acquainted with the medium. I’m still struggling with light and perspective. I created the picture using ArtRage on my iPad. Sent from my iPad. © 2011 Steph Abbott. All rights reserved.

Zabaglione Zzzzzs

Zabaglione ZzzzsFriday, July 22, 2011. Tonight’s post was inspired by a late night hunger for Italian custard. (It doesn’t take much to inspire me, does it?) Of course my hunger was inspired by today’s prompt from NaBloPoMo, “What is your favourite dessert?” I doodled this image, on my iPad, using SketchbookPro. I finished it in PhotoWizard. Passion Projection

Pulsing with passion, I go straight for the heart. From time to time, the impact of my efforts leaves a mark. Good thing I heal quickly.

Monday, July 11 2011. Tonight’s post was inspired by the NaBloPoMo prompt, “Do you like to dive into things or take your time getting acclimated?” I doodled the image on my iPad using Sketchbook Pro. Sent from my iPad. © 2011 Steph Abbott. All rights reserved.

A Grainy Sunday

Beautifully constructed, she weathers the pressures of life.

Sunday, July 10, 2011. She started as a sketch in Illustrator. Then she slipped in paint in Photoshop. After picking herself up, she met the PhotoWizard. He added a fine grain and framed her. Finally, her titled was bestowed in Sketchbook Pro. She was delivered via my iPad. © 2011 Steph Abbott. All rights reserved.
