Pictures Instead of Prose

Since childhood, her expression has been difficult to see. Seeing her stories in pictures instead of prose. Prose floating away and popping right before her grasp. Grasping their meaning yet losing the details, her imagination conjures the story. Story lines now stiff and itchy like unlined skirt lace. Lace obscuring larger untold tales. Tales she finds easier portrayed in pictures. Pictures so clear since childhood.

Tuesday, August 2, 2011. Today’s post is Inspired by the NaBloPoMo prompt, “Who is Your Favourite Author?” I prefer the depths ventured and the expansive story lines created by Barbara Kingsolver. I created the picture using OmniSketch on my iPad. Sent from my iPad. © 2011 Steph Abbott. All rights reserved.
