Daylight has been saved
From what we may never know
Who cares, it’s over

Sunday, November 2, 2014. Inspired by our seeming obsession to schedule our lives, I chose to celebrate the end of Daylight Savings Time. I wrote the haiku, Who What When Where Why before created the image Who When Who using Art Rage 4 software. For the image, I oversimplified the dawn and adjusted the resolution to be lower than my usual settings, because I wanted a crass yet murky visual.

  1. That is some really cool artwork. I never heard of Art Rage 4. I used to use Photoshop CS3 but it wasn’t compatible with Win7 so I switched to Gimp – Open source. I was a pretty advanced PS user so the learning curve with Gimp wasn’t bad. It’s not a bad substitute, especially since the things I do are for fun. Glad we found each other! 😀

  2. It hasn’t been saved from my children, that’s for sure! I enjoyed the colors used here, especially the owl’s eyes, because they look a little eerie in the image.

  5. I really like the way the sunlight streaks across the gloominess. This is beautiful! Thanks for the likes and follow, I’m glad I got the chance to come look at your artwork. Hard to believe it’s done on software! 🙂

    1. Gee, thanks! Best part about using software? Digital paints don’t stain. I appreciate your taking the time to check out my space too.
