____________
Saturday, December 13, 2014. Today, I created the image and wrote the haiku after the recent Pacific storm passed through the Mojave Desert. I am not a trained artist, so it’s a bit rough. Normally I stick to graphic design and simple doodling. However, I chose to paint mountains after watching an ArtRage tutorial video by Terry Jachimiak (‏@ThtrProfessor). I enjoyed the challenge to create outside my comfort zone.I created the image on my Windows 7 laptop using ArtRage 4.

Look Up

Put down the device and go
Outside. Breathe. Simple.

Wednesday, November 26, 2014. Inspired by the long weekend, I created what the sky might look like with eyes strained from squinting for too long at a mobile device. I then wrote the haiku. It’s late, and I am really tired. Goodnight and peace be with you. (I doodled using Sketchbook Mobile on my Kindle Fire HD.)

____________
Friday, November 21, 2014. Inspired by a prompt from Writing.com, “A gift is left on the back porch,” The haiku and the image commemorate the day when our cat presented us with a morsel from his prey. It was only the heart from a duck and a few feathers. Since we could find no carcass, we figured he must have devoured his meal elsewhere. Our cat was a good hunter, and he loved us. I created the image using ArtRage 3 and Photo Wizard on my iPad.
